We are Weijian Xue (Mr.) and Wendy Ang (Ms.), two students from the National University of Singapore (NUS) having a term exchange at the University of British Columbia (UBC) where we are taking GEOB370: Advanced Issues in GIScience. During this period, the Singapore Government announced its plan to build a new incineration plant to cope with the burgeoning amount of waste - especially with the increase in population in years to come. Thus, we embarked on this project with the interest to find out a good potential site for this new waste management facility through spatial analysis.
